  • Download and install Miniconda:
curl -OL https://repo.continuum.io/miniconda/Miniconda3-latest-Linux-x86_64.sh
bash Miniconda3-latest-Linux-x86_64.sh
    • You will be prompted several times during the installation process. Review the terms and conditions and select “yes” for each prompt.
  • Restart your shell session for the changes to your PATH to take effect.
exec bash -l
  • Create a new virtual environment for Ansible:
conda create -n ansible-dev python=3
  • Activate the new environment:
conda activate ansible-dev
  • Check your Python version:
python --version

Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt update
sudo apt install software-properties-common
sudo apt-add-repository --yes --update ppa:ansible/ansible
sudo apt install ansible
  • Verify that Ansible is installed:
ansible --version

Configure Ansible
